This Refund and Returns Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled for purchases made from artemis-analytical.com (or otherwise directly from Artemis Analytical where this policy is referenced).
Returns
Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase (or delivery, where relevant), we may be unable to offer a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return:
- the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it;
- it must be returned in the original packaging (where possible); and
- you must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Non-returnable items
Certain types of goods are not eligible for return. These may include:
- gift cards;
- downloadable software products / digital downloads;
- some health and personal care items; and
- any items that are hazardous materials or flammable liquids or gases.
If you are unsure whether an item is returnable, please contact us before sending it back.
Partial refunds (where applicable)
In some situations we may only be able to offer a partial refund, for example:
- items with obvious signs of use;
- items that are not in their original condition, are damaged, or are missing parts for reasons not due to our error; or
- items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm receipt and let you know whether your refund is approved or rejected.
If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within a reasonable number of days (timings vary by payment provider).
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company (posting can take time).
- Contact your bank (processing time can vary).

Sale items
Unless otherwise required by law, only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items are not normally refundable.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.
If you need to exchange an item for the same item, email chris@artemis-analytical.com and we will provide instructions.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of your return once the item is received.
If the item was not marked as a gift, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Returning an item (shipping)
To return a product, please send it to the address we confirm to you by email after you contact us.
Unless the return is due to our error (for example, the item was faulty, damaged, or incorrect), you will be responsible for paying your own return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund where applicable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for an exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning an item with a value over £75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
